we kept misreading.
The brand direction gives the design one job: make the hidden order visible — awe and wonder, never intimidation. Every visual decision below follows from the plan's own four ideas.
The human line
Anthera removes the emotion, not the human. So in every generated field, one line is drawn in the accent — a person, visible inside the machine's work. The validator is a feature of the picture, not a footnote.
Accumulation
Nothing here is a gesture. Every image is tens of thousands of small marks, each one faint, that build structure through repetition — the short-term edge, taken again and again, drawn rather than claimed.
Provenance
The equation is printed on the artefact. Anything decorative that cannot state its own derivation does not ship. This is the Dirac idea as a production rule: the maths comes first, and it is shown.
Two rooms, one house
Capital speaks from the dark register — the machine reading the field. Research annotates on the light one — the human hand, the legend, the source. The serif carries the lineage through both.
The voice throughout: declarative and unhurried. Statements of fact, not promises. No exclamation, no urgency, no growth-hack cadence — the tone of a house that has nothing to prove.

The emblem and its geometry are the recurring signature — the one lit idea against the ground, the serif carrying warmth and the construction carrying precision. The lockup signs every surface, in one of two registers.

01 — ArchitectureOne house, two rooms.
Fields carry meaning in the accent channel — 02's single thread is the method moving through the machine's field; 05's accented streamlines are the lines that leave the old order. Type is placed with each field's density map: words sit in measured quiet zones.
Anthera Capital and Anthera Research share a spine — the same wordmark, type, grid and field system — and differ only in chromatic register. That is what lets the fund and the research franchise read as one firm while doing different jobs.
Anthera Capital — dark register
The machine reading the field. Ink ground, accumulation, restraint. Carries the worldview, the teaser, the launch film, the fund site.
Anthera Research — light register
The human annotating it. Bone ground, single-hue ink, equations and legends shown beside the artefact. Carries reports, notes, the Priors series.
The registers are not light and dark mode. They are two voices. A fund page never uses the research register, and a research note never uses the fund's.

Gain and loss
Native to the palette rather than bolted on. Oxide advances, verdigris retreats — they separate on luminance as well as hue, so they survive colour-vision deficiency unmodified. Every directional value carries a glyph and a sign as well as a colour. That is WCAG 1.4.1 and it is also just better.

Newsreader ships a real opsz 6..72 axis, which is what solves the classic
failure mode of this register: a high-contrast serif, on a dark ground, at small size.
Optical size is set explicitly and never left to the browser — the spec warns that automatic
selection gets viewing distance wrong on large-format displays.

Below 24px the serif changes family, not weight. A high-contrast face at small size on a dark ground compounds three separate failures — irradiation bloom, the small-size polarity penalty, and sub-pixel hairline loss.

The lockup
The official lockup signs every surface — the construction emblem in gold, the serif wordmark in the register's foreground. The emblem's gold never recolours. Full rules live in the logo book.

- Never a single
--goldor--accenttoken across grounds. Midnight gold on cream is 1.62:1 — it fails every threshold including the 3:1 non-text floor. Split tokens make the failure impossible to express. - Never sapphire as text or a rule on navy. 1.93:1. Surface only.
- Never a high-contrast serif below 24px on a dark ground. Change family.
- Never a performance figure, accuracy statistic, return, equity curve or offering term in a public-tier asset. Not the minimum, not the duration, not the fund name.
- Never "autonomous" as a bare claim. The claims ladder keeps autonomy language behind the wall; public assets carry the worldview and the how.
- Never a testimonial, ranking, award or superlative in a public asset.
- Never a borrowed artwork. Every image is generated from the brand's own equations, and each field family carries its provenance.
The disclosure block is a component, not fine print. It sits beside content at 12–13px with a 46ch measure. A layout with no room for it is not finished.

The emblem's five-fold construction carries the golden section in its chords — the same ratio that governs the system's layout divisions. Geometry is not decoration here; it is the brand behaving consistently at every scale.

Patterns that endure
A single thirteen-sided tile that covers the plane completely and never repeats — order without repetition, drawn from one rule. It serves as the quiet pattern field behind collateral, with one tile lit in gold where a surface needs a signature.

Return map
A delay embedding. Read as a time series the output looks like noise; plotted as x(t) against x(t+τ) it resolves into a folded band. The same data, read on a different axis — which is the brand's entire argument, stated as geometry rather than claimed as copy.

Dipole
Two opposite charges in a weak uniform field. Lines that return to the negative charge are enclosed by a separatrix; beyond it, lines escape. That boundary is the picture — two opposite orders, and the line where one ends and the next begins. The antimatter idea made visible — the maths came first here too.

Interference
Two wave systems whose frequency ratio is irrational, so they never re-align. The beat between them produces caustics and bands that exist in neither system alone — structure that is a property of the superposition, not of either signal. The quiet ground for post backgrounds and section breaks.
